Therapy can be intimidating, so if you’ve decided to seek help, then you’ve made a brave choice, and I believe, a wise one. You may feel like you’ve lost control, or that you are plagued by unwelcome, self-critical thoughts. Maybe you’ve experienced a significant life event like the loss of a loved one, job, or relationship. You’ve no doubt tried to manage on your own but despite your best efforts, things aren’t getting any better. Well, you don’t have to go through this journey alone. Together, we can identify the challenges that are holding you back and help you to build the life that you deserve. You will feel safe, heard, and respected in our sessions, but also motivated and ultimately equipped to implement the changes you want to see in your life.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Purchase College in 2003 and my master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Touro College in 2014, both located in the New York City area. Shortly thereafter I moved to PIttsburgh, where I’ve worked in a variety of settings with an even wider variety of clients including individuals who struggle with drug or alcohol dependency, anxiety, depression, OCD behaviors, PTSD, schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder. I consider myself an eclectic or integrative therapist, which means, roughly, that I will match my treatment to your needs, integrating techniques or concepts from various therapeutic models. Integration is also a concept that I believe applies to you as a person: I won’t view your emotional health as being separate from your social, spiritual and physical health, which is the basis of holistic therapy.
