“To re-establish psychological safety, they (an individual) must regain, or gain for the first time, a sense of empowerment, an experienced recognition that they can alter their lives for the better” -Sandra Bloom

Experiences and circumstances have a way of changing how we perceive and understand the world around us. They alter the way we act or behave, the way we think, and the way we respond to different events or challenges that may occur in life. While these things may change us, they also contribute to making each and every one of us a unique individual with a unique story. Every part of that story is important in allowing an individual to evolve into the person they are destined to be. We all have a purpose here and life will sometimes throw us in unexpectant directions. Therapy is a way in which an individual is able to create room in their own life for reestablishment, growth, empowerment, resolution,  and self-efficacy. Therapy allows an individual to see themselves in a new light with clarity and understanding. It also allows an individual to gain the tools necessary to cope with  traumas and to overcome dysfunctions, unexpectant experiences, and personal downfalls. In having a therapeutic experience, one is able to refocus and change their life in a way that their needs are met and that they are able to achieve satisfaction within.

My goal is to facilitate a safe environment in which you are able to recover, refocus, reestablish, and grow as an individual. I hope that through this experience you can improve overall wellness and accomplish goals that will improve your lifestyle as an individual.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Penn State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I also attended Carlow University where I obtained a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. I have experience working with young to middle aged adults and with individuals in treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and with individuals who have experienced abuse and trauma.
